What Can Keep My Isuzu’s Transmission from Working?

When it comes to manual transmissions, most problems stem from the clutch since getting power to the transmission depends on its operation. Clutch discs wear out over time, but just because you’re having problems shifting doesn’t mean that’s the culprit. If your Isuzu had clutch repair recently, one or more of the new parts might not work right with the rest of the clutch mechanism. There can also be problems between the pedal and the clutch, including leaking hydraulic systems, broken cables, and misadjusted linkages, so bringing in your Isuzu for clutch repair may bring to light a different issue entirely. Even if the clutch is working right, synchro’s and forks can wear out, making it hard to shift.
